Hi All

Well been some time since the last entry. It's not that I have been slack?????. I/we have covered a lot of the country since the last entry, we (the trio) have been touring and promoting "Passing The Time".
The CD is going great with good reviews from all over Australia and overseas and of course we were fortunate to win the "Austrlian Blues Band of the Year" at the the Chain Awards in Feb, that was a huge thrill for us.
We have been to most Aus states in the past 7 months, some more than once.
I am doing a few solo shows around Vic and the A.C.T in the next month and then the Trio heads back to Queensland for our second year at the huge Gympie Muster.
Apart from taking a bit of time off, we will be doing tours to South Australia, Western Australia and Tassie in the next 6 months as well as solo shows here and there, so keep an eye on the gig page, or put your email address in the box on the left and recieve
gig information.

Stay happy
Brian

Hi All

After another Queensland tour, which included three shows at the huge Gympie Muster, we(the Trio) went into Sing Sing studio's in Melbourne to record. Really happy with the result. The new CD is to be called 'Passing The Time' and should be available in the last week of October. This, naturally with the Trio, is a different CD from the last three, lots of three way vocals and slide guitar, used the lap slide for most of the tracks, most of the material comes from the Trio live show.
Having a small break then off to SA for a few shows, then to Bridgetown WA for the blues fest, then off to Tassie.
The website will be updated soon to reflect the new CD, so it may be a bit behind.

Hope to see you at a show somewhere.
BF

Hi All

Unfortunately the web site was down for a few weeks, still not quite sure why is took so long to get back up, someone, somewhere did something to something and no-one is admitting to something someone did. Anyway it's back up and since your reading this it must be all good. We hope it stays that way.

The Trio had a fantastic northern tour in May, had a stack of great shows including the Broadbeach Blues Festival, the Travelling Blues and Roots Festival in Warrick also had a ball doing a run of shows at the Wallaby on the Gold Coast including an afternoon show with our old mate Bo Jenkins.

Heading back up north at the end of August to do another run which will include 3 shows at the huge Gympie Muster.

I am doing solo stuff in June and July which includes a couple of weeks at the Buller Bar, Mt Buller for the snow season, (I will be the one staying inside). Then late July the Trio hit the road again for some shows in NSW and Vic.

We plan to go into the studio in September to record the next CD with the Trio, as we are so busy it's hard to find the time to record but at this stage September it will be.

Check out the gig page to see when I/we are coming past, where ever it is I hope to see you there.

Brian

Hi All

Just returned from a NSW tour with the Trio, this included shows at the Junee Blues Festival and the Australian Blues Festival in Goulburn, theTrio got a huge response.

I am doing a few solo shows then the Trio comes to Vic, check out the gig page for dates.

You can hear some samples of the Trio on the Trio page, these were recorded live at the Wallaby Hotel on the Gold Coast, straight from the desk to what was my trusty Mini Disc recorder that has since died, (if anyone has a cheap mini disc player/recorder they want to sell, let me know).

Great to hear my old mate (he's not really that old) Jimi Hocking won the international blues challange in Memphis, great stuff, proves again how strong the Aussie blues scene is when a Skinny White Boy from Mentone can clean up on the international blues stage, well done Jimi.

Till next time.........

Wow 2005 already, hope everyone had great xmas and New Year. I had a few weeks at home, (getting to know the place again) I am on the road again soon, touring with the Trio and solo. The Trio has had a fantastic response fom our tours north, we will be touring NSW in Feb including the Australian Blues Festival in Goulburn, in March we will be in Victoria. We will be playing a lot of new material that we plan to record later on in the year.

I hope 2005 is a great year for you.

Hi all

The new web site is up and running, big thanks to Stu for all his work. There is still a bit to be done as far as updating some of the info, but it can now be updated easily by me, from anywhere I happen to be, yoo hoo!

2004 has been a very busy year with festivals around the country and constant touring, and it's not slowing down. Planning a new CD for 2005: it will be an all-slide CD. I will also be working with harp player Mick Reid and percussionist Benny Owen on some shows up north in November. Hope to bring the Trio to Vic, Tas and SA in the new year.

Keep on supporting Aussie Blues,
Brian

Well 2003 is going far to quickly, I have been very busy since the release of "Finger Pickin Blues". It doesn't slow down for the rest of the year either. Doing a week in Mt Buller then a few weeks after that doing 4 nights at Airlie Beach up in North Queensland now that is a contrast in temperatures, i prefer the latter.

Heading to many places around the country before the end of the year, check out the gig guide.

The new CD is going great, lots of good reviews and it is selling strongly. Doing the Melbourne CD launch at the Williamstown RSL on Sunday 10th August with my good mate Lloyd Spegial. Really looking forward to catching up with him and some other old friends, and checking out this great music venue.

Hope to catch you at a gig soon, keep supporting live Aussie blues

Brian
