I am continually being asked about what sort of equipment I use so here is a run down of the gear I use for a live show.
By the way, I don't really get into equipment specs like wood types and electronic ratings and stuff. If it sounds and feels good, is easy to use, reliable and is light to carry, it's for me.

Tim is a wonderful guitar builder from Adelaide, after playing a couple of his guitars I asked Tim to build a guitar for me. A wonderful instrument great tone and feel, this one is never used as a drum. I play it through a Fishman pre-amp then into the desk, sounds great live! Check Tim's work out at www.wrightguitars.com

From Torquay Aus. this is a Jim Dyson Victorian Ash Lap slide. Great guitar and a whole lot of fun to play. Check em out at Jims web site.

Aluminium resonator built by Peter Moles in Launceston, Australia. It has a great tone, whether played acoustically or amplified.

A Fishman preamp, a tubescreamer (for the Trio), and a Holy Grail reverb unit.

I have had the Maton for about 7 years, they don't actually make this model with a sunburst finish (or they didn't), I had to make a special request. It is a great workhorse guitar for on the road, it can take a lot of punishment (it's used for drum solo's often) and it still sounds great.
This guitar has probably done close to a thousand shows and apart from the finish wearing off in spots (that's character), it's still going strong.
It still has the Maton AP5 pre-amp system.

The Regal is a relatively inexpensive resonator, I picked it up at Derringers in Adelaide. The first time I played it I fell in love with the tone and the feel of it. I have played expensive Dobro's and Nationals and wouldn't swap them for this Regal, (although I did play one Dobro that had me thinking).
This is a great guitar that has never let me down, although it's starting to rust a bit I am to scared to replace the steel cover in case it changes the tone. I use a Barcus Berry biscuit pick up, they used to make them especially for resonators but stopped for some reason and they are very hard to find, which is shame because they sound great.

"Bigfoot" The latest stomboard. Designed and built by Peter ?? who works from Byron Music in Byron Bay. The very latest in Stompboard technology
"Bigfoot" has its own designated power amp and sub woofer speaker, an 18" Behringer (EUROLIVE PROFESSIONAL B1800X PRO)
ps. Tammy the Tamborine from Tamworth is my addition.

Two of the Bose 402's
I usually use my own P.A. which consists of 4 Bose 402 speakers. These are great speakers, each one about twice the size of a loaf of bread, and if you have seen a live show you will know how good they sound and how loud they can be.
I run them with an Australian Monitor 1.2K power amp. The stompboard power amp is an EW 1000 watt. This is all fed from a Behringer Desk.
